Guess Who’s a Rockin’ Girl Blogger!

If there’s anything that floored me today, it was the post of Kongkong (recently awarded the Rockin’ Girl Blogger award) announcing I was one of her 5 choices for the same award.

Kongkong, thank you so much from the bottom of my heart, for thinking of me. But as you will see from the next few sentences, I was initially befuddled about what the award was all about.

The first thing that struck me when I checked out the award was its color — PINK! Did I qualify because my favorite color is PINK????? Nope, I don’t think that was reason enough.

Maybe….GIRL BLOGGER! Uhhhm…Blogger, yes. Girl? Well, it has been years since I qualified to be called girl. Mom, Tita, Ale (Filipina word for Miss/Mrs), Ma’am — yup, that’s how they address me nowadays. But girl? Wow! That’s like peeling years from my age!

Now this last one…Rockin’, I had to look up. One Urban Dictionary definition said it’s a name for “something that’s really cool”. Woohoo! This one my kids have got to see. Finally, their Mom whom they would classify as “another generation” is now COOL. Hehe…
