Kefir: A Post for my Readers

(Update: My own kefir grains died some time back so I won’t be able to provide any for now. But I do have a small community on my Facebook page, Manila Kefir Sharing, where you can post a request for kefir grains. Just provide your location as well so potential donors can check if they are near you.)

It’s been a while since I’ve posted about kefir. But my past posts on kefir continue to draw responses from readers who have been asking me for free grains.

To those who have left comments on my other kefir posts, please be patient. I’ve got only a limited batch of kefir and I cannot give out to all of you immediately as I need to wait till the grains multiply before dividing them. I am trying to arrange pickup of the grains on a first come, first serve basis and I will email you privately if your grains are ready for pickup.

This is a chance for those who have already received my grains to pay it forward by dividng and donating your excess kefir grains. If you have received grains from me and you are willing to be part of the donation process, please email me privately or leave your email address in the comments section below. I hope we can get a good number of kefir users to share their grains as well.

Cancer is within the genes of our family. My mom died of Uterine cancer, I and my sister are cancer survivor. we’ve been taking kefir for months already but a liter of it is just too expensive for us. Indeed, I too, beleive that this superfood should be given away for free and not make business out of it cause it’s a gift form God.

I saw this blog and praise God there is someone like you who is too willing to help others. please share some of your grain to us.

thank you Ms. Jane. God bless you more and your family.

  10. Good Morning Ms. Jane,

I have a 5-year old son who is on Gluten Free and Casein Free Diet. In this diet program, Milk and Wheat Flour are not allowed. Because of this issue that Milk Kefir may have Gluten in it, I therefore cannot include it for his diet.

However I have heard that WATER KEFIR which is known to be more resilient and versatile compared to Milk Kefir is also available.

With the hope that I could secure some grains from your benevolence and commendable services, I wish to obtain some Water Kefir grains so I can reproduce myself and be able to contribute to sharing the extra grains.

Is it possible to ship it to Dipolog City? I am willing to pay the shipment. Thank you and more power.

  11. Hi, hope this site is still active. Do you have kefir grains to share? My number is 09178404043. Appreciate your response.thank you very much

I live in Manila and I‘m willing to pay for the shipping fee.

  13. Hello Ms. Jane,

Would you have some spare milk kefir and water kefir ? I want my children to know the benefits of kefir and living on a healthy lifestyle by letting them grow and eat the kefir yogurt and water kefir drink.

I’m telling them about kefir and all the benefits one can get. I am also encouraging them to make some for their grandparents, so they can also be very healthy.

Please contact me at 09175181983 or email me. I will pick it up whenever its ready. I’ve had experience before with kefir and they thrived. Unfortunately, that time, I didn;t know how to preserve them.

Hoping to get grains from you,
    Teacher Marie

      1. Thanks Jane.

Am excited to make water kefir for my students as well as most of them love softdrinks/soda .

  23. Hi Jane,

I read about Kefir Milk recently and how it promotes a healthier gut. I have been suffering from seborrheic dermatitis for almost 9 years now and I heard having probiotic rich foods daily can provide a permanent cure. I hope I can be one of your donee for the Kefir grains, God bless and maraming salamat.

    1. Hello, Ramon. My kefir grains ‘died’ some time ago and I still have to get a fresh new batch. But meanwhile, let me direct you to my Facebook page: Manila Kefir Sharing. You can find a thread there where you can post your needs and location in case other members located near you can share theirs.

      1. Hi Jane,

No worries, I was able to buy online couple months back and as expected I was relieved from seborrheic dermatitis almost instantly. I did not have any flare ups for more than 2 months now since I started drinking Kefir. I even had a chance to cultivate my own grains and was able to share some to my gf’s mom and another friend.

I was lucky enough that after endless online research I was able to come across the single genuine cure “Kefir”. If only I had known 9 years ago 🙂

Keep up the good work on you blogs, this is one way of informing Filipinos the many benefits of drinking Kefir. I am also joining the fb community to share my Kefir soon.

        God Bless!

        1. That’s wonderful! Please do join my kefir sharing community. We would love to wait for you to share your grains because there are more people there needing it than those with grains to share. Thank you and God bless!

Let me know what you think!
