Urban Time’s Brand Ambassadors

Urban Time, the country’s upcoming and hippest watch boutique, introduced its 5 brand ambassadors to the bloggers last March 25.

The search for 5 young girls to become the icons of Urban Time were launched on the web. Part of the scoring came from online votes while another part came from 3 judges, one of whom was my good blogger friend, AJ Matela.

In the end, 5 young and vibrant girls from 5 different schools made it:

(L-R) Miki Hahn from La Salle International, Portia Silva from Ateneo, Anna Monica Villaverde from Trinity University of Asia, Stephanie Sol and Rachel Rustia from UA&P

I was curious about their line of watches since I have 4 teens. We spoke with one marketing official of Urban Time and found out that they have watch lines that start at less than P2,000 for those who want casual, reasonably priced watches, and midrange ones that cost between P3,000-P4,000. The brands that they brought in were mostly French sounding as they felt this had a special appeal to the teen-aged girls (Cherie Paris, Lulu Castagnette, Marie Claire, and Esprit). They also had a Greek brand, Folli Follie, which was more high-end with diamond-encrusted watches that start around P15,000. And I noticed they carried Guess, Roots and Seiko brands as well.

The watches I think will appeal very much to the young generation. The Lulu Castagnette watches, for example, feature their trademark teddy bear logo in their watches. The Cherie Paris watches, on the other hand, come in different modern designs.

Here are samples of the watches we saw that night:

Urban Time’s flagship store is at the 3/F The Annex of SM North EDSA. MC Marie Claire, LuluCastagnette and Cherie Paris watches are available in Urban Time at all SM Department Stores.
